Within a central circle, ‘sikka Bukhārā’ (‘Coin of Bukhara’ in Arabic); ‘al-mulk’ (‘kingdom’ in Arabic) repeated three times in the petals of the outer margin. Rev. In the center, ʻ課ʼ = ʻkèʼ (ʻtaxʼ in Chinese); In the margin, ‘ḍuriba hādhā al-dirham biʾl-baldat al-fākhirat sana thalāth wa sittīn wa sitta miʾa’ (‘This dirham was struck in the luxurious city in the year 663’ in Arabic).
